I made these for my daughters softball team to put on their bags. They are made of Shrinky Dinks that I printed of their team logo. I then used Embossing powder in my melting pot to shrink and coat them. I think they turned out pretty well. If my daughters were young I would be making tons of princess or Disney stuff with the printable Shrinky Dinks.
I had a lot of fun making this. My daughter said that it is totally me. I think she is right. A lot of times I make things for other people or other styles but this one really is me. I made it with really thick gauge copper wire. I got a new propane torch that heats higher. It has allowed me to work with the thicker copper.
I’ve had some more fun playing with glass. I found that I like making these fish and caterpillars as a fun way to learn the basic skills. It’s a lot more interesting than making plain round beads over and over. It’s definitely been a learning experience. If you’ve ever wanted to try it you should. Everything you need comes in a kit
So for Christmas I got a glass bead making kit and I’ve finally gotten a chance to try it out. The results were less than spectacular but making them was still fun. I want to make some jewelry with my own beads. But I think that will have to be further in the future when I have some more skills. I did have a lot of fun figuring out how to make a little caterpillar. I was pretty please with that I also like this frog
